Home of our innovative Electronic Field Trips. Teachers can bring our professional science educators into the classroom virtually through teleconferencing or Skype. The Pi lab contains everything needed to “visit” students and lead them on exciting, memorable lessons.

The Pi lab features:

  • advanced videoconferencing equipment
  • document cameras to display detailed lessons to students
  • two-way communications tools
  • green screen “Chroma key” wall such as weathermen use to stand in front of forecast maps. This allows us to transport science educators into amazing places as they teach, firing student imagination and attention.

Teacher Learning Lab

Educators feel right at home here surrounded by a multitude of print, media and online resources just for them. Teachers can access STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) textbooks, career development guides, activity kits and educational video collections. The lab also hosts seminars and workshops.

Young Learners Lab

A room with everything needed to inspire our youngest scientists, ages 3-8. Programs offered for educators, individuals, school classes and homeschoolers.
