Little Dragon’s Digestive System | Grades: K-2

2009 NJCCCS: 5.1.B, 5.3.A, 5.3.C

Let Sam, a dragon with really bad eating habits, and our Science Educators lead your students on a journey through the digestive system. A few lucky volunteers will get a chance to climb into a giant mouth, slide down an esophagus and end up in a churning stomach before squeezing through the small and large intestines. In this obstacle course, students will be introduced to the names and functions of the basic parts of the digestive system. Your students will never forget this tour through the digestive system!

Science Sportacular (Newton’s Laws) | Grades: 4-8

2009 NJCCCS: 5.1.A, 5.1.B, 5.1.D, 5.2.E, 5.4.A

Whether it’s swimming, soccer, football or golf, they all have one thing in common – science! Our Science Educators will demonstrate Newton’s Laws and other physics topics using sports equipment. Students will learn how a pitcher makes a baseball curve, and volunteers will join in a momentum race. We’ll even show concepts related to helmet safety by lying on a sharp bed of nails. No tricks or illusions here, just pure science!
