Although Liberty Science Center is a private nonprofit institution, it is committed to assisting other area nonprofit and at-risk groups as part of its outstanding community leadership. There are three ways to apply for assistance to visit Liberty Science Center. Please read all details carefully to see if your group qualifies.

Complimentary Exhibition Passes

Liberty Science Center is a non-profit institution and supports other community-based non-profits with exhibition tickets for fundraising purposes. We receive a large number of requests annually and make every effort to respond in a timely fashion. To assist us, please read the details below carefully and submit your request as early as possible.

  • Complimentary passes will be donated only to educational or academic organizations and non-profit, youth-oriented organizations for fundraising.
  • Requests must be received 8+ weeks prior to an approved fundraising event. You will receive 2 complimentary exhibition tickets.
  • Tickets may be used for fundraisers but are not for direct resale.
  • You are required to submit documentation of your fundraising event in the form of a press release, an announcement or an invitation prior to receiving the tickets.
  • We will process only one request per organization per year.
  • To request complimentary passes, please contact sales@lsc.org

Adopt-A-Class Program

As part of their Corporate Memberships, area firms sponsor a limited number of field trips for educational and non-profit groups. Last year over 2,100 students enjoyed sponsored access to the Science Center under this program. Please note that Adopt-A-Class does not cover the cost of transportation, movies or lunches.

Teachers should submit one application for each class of up to 30 students. Though we may receive multiple applications from individual schools, each application is considered separately.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis all year and are granted on first-come, first-served. Due to high demand, please allow a few weeks for processing of your application. Acceptance into the Adopt-A-Class program does not guarantee that a sponsor has been found for your class or group. You cannot reserve your trip until you receive complete confirmation of your placement with a sponsor.

How to Apply for Adopt-A-Class

Step 1: Download Application

Step 2: Write a Cover Letter and Statement of Need on your organization’s letterhead. State why your organization needs a sponsorship, how your group will benefit from a visit, and how science education fits into your program. Applications received without a statement of need on an organization’s letterhead will be returned.

Step 3: Send all materials to:
