As an executive vice president and Region Bank President for Community Banking’s New York region, Fred Bertoldo leads one of the most expansive and diverse markets within the Northeast. In his role, Bertoldo provides executive guidance and direction for retail banking operations, overseeing more than 720 team members and 79 branches across 11 counties.

Bertoldo is a 29-year industry veteran with extensive banking and leadership experience. He has previously led retail banking for Wells Fargo in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and California, where he began his career.

An active leader within the community, Bertoldo has served on the boards of Liberty Science Center, Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership, NJBankers Association, Newark Alliance, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, and San Jose Tech Museum. Bertoldo was also recently named the recipient of the 2018 U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award by Junior Achievement USA for significant volunteer contributions made by Wells Fargo.

Bertoldo’s demonstrated ability to engage, motivate, and inspire those with whom he works is a major reason for his success and the success of those he manages.

Bertoldo has a BS in Finance from the University of Arizona.
