Jersey City, NJ (June 28, 2018) – Want to dig for dinosaur fossils, take a journey through an esophagus, build your own playground, and see your favorite storybook characters come to life – all in the same day? This summer, boredom will not be an option as Liberty Science Center welcomes two brand new exhibitions – Arthur’s World and Grossology – and two returning favorites, Block Party and Jack Horner’s Dino Dig. They open June 30 and will provide kids with tools to play, use their imaginations, and explore STEM concepts while having tons of fun.
Each exhibit offers a unique set of hands-on experiences guests are sure to love. Arthur’s World combines classic storybook scenes and familiar characters with fun and engaging activities like sing-alongs and spooky stories. Grossology uses sophisticated animatronics and imaginative exhibits to tell you the good, the bad and the downright ugly about runny noses, body odor and much more. Block Party invites kids to build their dream playgrounds as they toy with engineering using a system of large foam blocks to construct elaborate creations. At Jack Horner’s Dino Dig, kids will uncover massive dinosaur bones by digging through 35 tons of sand in this recreation of the famed paleontologist’s dig site complete with 50 late Cretaceous fossils.
In a single day at Liberty Science Center, kids will have the opportunity to take a journey through time, space, the human body, and more. The exhibits employ a mixture of interactive features, encouraging children to play together as well as problem solve through science-based experiences.
Dino Dig, Arthur’s World, and Block Party are included with general admission tickets ($22.75 for adults, $18.75 for children ages 2-12). Museum members and children under 2 are free. Grossology is available with the purchase of a Combination Pass. This summer, the Center is open daily from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Please visit LSC.org for more information.
