JERSEY CITY, N.J., September 19, 2019 – Liberty Science Center’s newest adventure for young learners, Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit, opens Saturday, September 21. Based on the popular PBS KIDS TV series Dinosaur Train, the exhibit invites kids to join Buddy, a curious T. rex, on an interactive journey around the world and back in time to discover all there is to know about dinosaurs.

“This exhibit embraces and celebrates the fascination kids have with both dinosaurs and trains,” said Paul Hoffman, President and CEO of Liberty Science Center. “The fun, interactive elements will enable young guests to travel back to the time of dinosaurs to unearth basic concepts in life science, natural history, and paleontology.”

Created by The Magic House in collaboration with The Jim Henson Company, the exhibit features five zones filled with hands-on activities. Highlights invite guests to:
•Hop on the Dinosaur Train and travel to all three time periods during the Age of Dinosaurs while dancing along to Buddy’s favorite songs from the show, such as I Love Trains and Great Big Stomping Dinosaur Feet
•Learn the characteristics of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, and how dinosaurs are classified into these groups
•Explore math concepts by studying the different sizes and measurements of dinosaurs
•Interact with real and replica fossils and learn how scientists use fossils to make dinosaur discoveries
