Live From Surgery and Meet the Surgeon

Liberty Science Center's Live From Surgery program offers students a unique opportunity to peer into an operating room and interact with medical experts. This powerful learning experience exposes students to careers in biotechnology and medical science.

During each Live From Surgery session, held in our Interactive Theater or 3D Science Theater, students will view a procedure, communicate with the doctors, and even physically hold the instruments viewed on screen. Your group is free to explore the Science Center after the session.

Alternatively, a Live From Surgery session can be transmitted into your classroom using distance learning technology. Most of our programs can be transmitted this way. See the videoconference technical requirements.

Our program also includes Meet the Surgeon sessions. During these sessions, a heart, neonatal or pediatric orthopedic surgeon will meet in-person with your students at the Science Center and present recorded footage from a procedure.

Live From Surgery and Meet the Surgeon sessions must be booked in advance. Call 201.253.1310 or email groups@lsc.org.
