Alma DeMetropolis, Vice Chair

Deputy CEO, Dalio Family Office

Alma DeMetropolis is the Deputy CEO of the Dalio Family Office (DFO). She brings more than 30 years of deep global market expertise and financial experience advising families on a variety of wealth management needs.

She began her career in 1992 as a risk analyst at JPMorgan in New York and soon after held a variety of roles in London, Paris, Zurich, Madrid and Latin America, ultimately serving as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the International Private Bank. She led investment planning for Ultra High Net Worth clients across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Ms. DeMetropolis returned to the US in 2003, where she became President of the New Jersey Market Leadership Team and Market Manager for J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s New Jersey region. Under her leadership, she opened the Summit, NJ, office in 2016 and grew it substantially. Throughout her career, DeMetropolis has been recognized for her ability to integrate wealth management, strategic investment guidance, and philanthropic advisory into holistic solutions for families, foundations, and institutions.

DeMetropolis is passionate about her philanthropic endeavors with a focus on education (STEAM), hunger relief, preservation of national parks, and the arts. Her current community service includes: Vice Chair, Liberty Science Center (2013 – present), Trustee, SciTech Scity (2015 – present), and Trustee, American College of Greece (2020 – present).

Her favorite motto: HOPE = Help One Person Everyday. She is fluent in Greek and Spanish. DeMetropolis is a Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Financial Analyst®, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
