Arnie Fridhandler is a Private Equity M&A Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and a recognized pioneer in legal technology. Blending a background in engineering, business and corporate law, he leverages technology to disrupt traditional dealmaking and modernize legal work. He leads complex transactions for global private capital investors and is the driving force behind a number of Weil's tech-enabled AI-first services. A leading voice at the intersection of law and technology, Mr. Fridhandler’s approach has earned him industry acclaim. He was named to the Lawdragon 100 Leading AI & Legal Tech Advisors and selected for both Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation and the Emerging Leaders by The M&A Advisor, honors recognizing professionals under 40 who are shaping the future of dealmaking through innovation, leadership, and community contribution. Furthermore, leadership of Weil's DealVision360 platform and AI products helped earn him recognition as a Financial Times Innovator.
Earlier in his career, Fridhandler was in-house Assistant General Counsel to GIC Private Limited, one of the largest and most active global investors and the sovereign wealth fund of the government of Singapore. There, he focused on real asset investments, management and dispositions across the Americas in sectors ranging from data centers and hotels to ski resorts and others.
Fridhandler lectures at institutions including the NYU Stern School of Business, London Business School (SWF Academy), Osgoode Hall Law School, and the Practising Law Institute. He is also the founding editor of Weil’s Private Equity Sponsor Sync publication and co-led a partnership with Axios to launch The Next Era: Private Equity’s Global Path summit in New York and London. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University, alongside a JD and an MBA from York University. He resides in Jersey City with his wife, Rachael, and their two children, Eli and Sadie.
