Brian Carlin

Retired Chief Executive Officer, J.P. Morgan Private Capital

Mr. Carlin was responsible for all wealth management products, services and platforms, including investments, lending, banking, technology, operations, and the Institutional Wealth Management businesses. Carlin was also a member of the Asset & Wealth Management Operating Committee.

Previously Carlin served as Chief Financial Officer for J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, with responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting, planning, analysis and strategy. Prior to that, he was Global Head of Products & Investment Solutions for J.P. Morgan's Global Wealth Management business. In this role, he oversaw all investment solutions globally, as well as loans, mortgages, deposits, custody, trusts & estates and Advice Lab.

Carlin joined J.P. Morgan in 2001 as a member of the Private Bank Strategy Team, working with the Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Equities to develop strategies and investment solutions. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Taxable Fixed Income, and subsequently assumed responsibility for all of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities in the Private Bank.

Carlin is a graduate of American University (BS) and Georgetown University (MBA). He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
