Brian Carlin

Head, Global Wealth Management Banking Americas, UBS

Mr. Carlin is the Head of Global Wealth Management Banking Americas for UBS. In this role, he oversees over $200 billion in assets and liabilities across deposits, lending, and mortgages, among other products. In this capacity, Carlin is responsible for a team of over 600 employees across the U.S. As part of this role, he is involved in two large transformational projects for UBS Bank USA which are the conversion to a national charter and the build out of checking and savings accounts for clients’ personal and business needs.

Prior to this role, Carlin was the Chief Executive Officer for J.P. Morgan Private Capital which provides equity and debt solutions to private companies. J.P. Morgan Private Capital comprises multiple strategies with over $10 billion in client assets. In addition, he was also responsible for the build-out of J.P. Morgan’s new growth equity platform, raising over $1 bn in capital across the first two funds in Technology and Life Sciences.

Previously, Carlin served as CEO of Wealth Management Solutions for J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for all wealth management products, services and platforms, including investments, lending, banking, technology, operations, and the Institutional Wealth Management businesses. Carlin was also a member of the Asset & Wealth Management Operating Committee.

During his 20 plus year career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Carlin held a multitude of other senior roles across the business, including serving as the Chief Financial Officer for J.P. Morgan Asset Management and as Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) for J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

Carlin is a graduate of American University (B.S.) and Georgetown University (M.B.A.). He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
