
Connor Hartley is Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Development at BlackRock (NYSE: BLK), the world's largest asset manager. In this role, he oversees all firm-wide mergers and acquisitions, strategic minority investments, divestitures, and joint ventures globally. He serves as a member of BlackRock's Finance Executive Committee and the Global Operating Committee.
Since joining BlackRock in May 2022, Mr. Hartley has led a transformative portfolio of transactions that have fundamentally repositioned the firm as the world's preeminent technology-enabled alternatives manager. Hartley also architects and manages BlackRock’s Strategic Minority Investment program, the firm's corporate venture platform targeting early-to-late-stage investments across fintech, digital assets, wealth technology, private markets, and artificial intelligence.
Previously, Hartley served as Head of M&A and Ventures at S&P Global and Managing Director of Corporate Development at IHS Markit, overseeing 15+ transactions including the IHS Markit–S&P Global merger.
Earlier in his career, Hartley held several senior corporate strategy and development roles at Ipreo, a Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division portfolio company and leading provider of financial technology and market intelligence to financial sponsors, institutional investors, investment banks, and corporate issuers.
He earned a BA from Georgetown University with a double major in international business and marketing, and an MBA from Fordham University with dual concentrations in finance and management.
