Michael Henderson serves as Vice President of WM's Greater Mid-Atlantic Market Area, overseeing the collection, disposal, recycling, transfer, logistics, and energy generation lines of business. He is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning market performance with corporate objectives. Mr. Henderson leads a diverse team of directors and senior managers across multiple functions, fostering collaboration and accountability to achieve financial, operational, and customer service goals.

Henderson joined WM in 2026 as Vice President of Logistics. Prior to joining WM, he spent 24 years with Sims Limited, one of the world's leading publicly traded metal recycling companies. During his tenure, he held a series of leadership positions with increasing responsibility, including General Manager of Business Development, Global Director of Strategy, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer, North America from 2020 to 2025. His experience spans operations, strategy, business development, logistics, and sustainability across complex, large-scale organizations.

Henderson earned a BA in political science from Binghamton University (SUNY) in 2004.
