President and COO, Public Service Electric and Gas Company
Mr. LaRossa was named President and COO of PSEG Power in June 2017, with the appointment taking effect in October 2017. Prior to this position he was President and COO of PSEG's utility business, PSE&G. It is New Jersey's oldest and largest regulated gas and electric delivery utility, serving approximately 2.4 million customers, nearly three-quarters of the state's population.
In 2014, LaRossa became Chairman of the Board of PSEG Long Island, a subsidiary of PSEG that manages the electric transmission and distribution systems on Long Island and in the Rockaways. PSEG Long Island serves 1.1 million customers.
LaRossa joined PSE&G in 1985 as an associate engineer and advanced through a variety of management positions in the utility’s gas and electric operations. In 1998, he received Gas Industry magazine’s Outstanding Manager of the Year Award. He is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and has completed the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
LaRossa is chairman of Choose New Jersey, Inc. and serves on its board of directors. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors for the New Jersey Utilities Association, New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Montclair State University, where he is past university chair. LaRossa is also the immediate past chair of the American Gas Association.
