Mr. Thomson is responsible for leading end-to-end production services, engineering, mainframe services, infrastructure and delivery of platforms and applications for Consumer, Small Business & Wealth Management and the company’s Enterprise functions, including Global Human Resources, Chief Administrative Office, Corporate Audit, Legal, the Chief Data Office and Global Information Security. In his previous role, Thomson served as the Operations and Client Services Technology executive responsible for leading Consumer Operations, Shared Services Operations and Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) Operations technology, including Document Management.
Prior to joining the Consumer, Small Business & Wealth Management organization, Thomson led the Consumer Product Technology Infrastructure Operations and Production Support team, driving strategy, architecture, design and build, operations engagement, and project delivery for the Technology Infrastructure organization. Additionally, he was responsible for continuous platform monitoring, system operations and production services for both the applications and infrastructure platforms.
Thomson joined Bank of America in November 2013, bringing extensive knowledge and experience from a 17-year career with Citigroup where he held a variety of roles including Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Global Banking, Global Head of Infrastructure for Institutional Clients Group (ICG), CIO for ICG in Asia Pacific and Chief Architect and Head of Enterprise Architecture.
Thomson is originally from the United Kingdom, where he acquired his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Hertfordshire. He is based in New Jersey.
