
Tasha Hogan is a lifelong New Jersey resident, born and raised in Jersey City and educated in the State of New Jersey. She is a proud mother of three sons, Jonathan, Josias, and Chae.
Ms. Hogan currently serves as Director of Government and Community Affairs for North America at Sims Metal, where she leads stakeholder engagement, public policy, government relations, and community investment initiatives across the United States and Canada. In this role, she works closely with elected officials, community organizations, industry partners, and business leaders to advance sustainable practices and strengthen relationships between industry and the communities Sims serves.
She also serves as a Director of Strike a Pose, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women from underserved communities through fashion, art, mentorship, and personal development opportunities.
Prior to joining Sims Metal, Hogan served as Director for the New Jersey Reentry Corporation, overseeing reentry programs and services across Middlesex, Somerset, and Hunterdon counties. She also served as the Department of Family Development (DFD) Reentry Liaison, supporting reentry initiatives and coordination efforts across all 21 counties in New Jersey.
A seasoned political and community affairs professional, Hogan served as Campaign Manager for Council President Denise Ridley during her successful first campaign for Jersey City Council in 2016. Throughout her career, she has also served as a trusted advisor to multiple local and municipal elected officials, providing guidance on community engagement, public policy, constituent relations, and strategic initiatives.
In addition, Hogan served on the Middlesex County Gun Violence Reduction Initiative Board under the leadership of Stuart Rabner, working alongside community and justice system stakeholders to support violence reduction efforts and improve public safety outcomes.
In recognition of her leadership and policy expertise, Hogan was selected as one of 25 professionals nationwide for the inaugural Next Generation of Policy Leaders Program through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a prestigious initiative designed to develop emerging leaders in public policy and advocacy.
Hogan has dedicated her career to public service, workforce development, community engagement, and creating opportunities for underserved populations. Her experience across government, nonprofit, political, and corporate sectors has equipped her with a unique perspective on building partnerships, advancing meaningful change, and strengthening communities.
