Super Moon Over Manhattan

Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm

On Saturday, the team at LSC is staying up to check out one of the winter night sky's coolest scenes: a bright, full supermoon with the planet Jupiter visible nearby. We are setting up our telescopes, planning special planetarium shows and science demonstrations, and crossing our fingers that the clouds will stay away. All we need now is you!

Come visit any time on Saturday, and you can stay for the extended-hour moon madness—no additional ticket is required. In addition to telescope viewing from our 3rd Floor balcony, we'll open up our backyard (2nd Floor) and the Our Hudson Home observation deck (4th Floor) for naked-eye viewing. This moon will hard to miss!

Be sure to check out the Extreme Moons and Supermoon planetarium shows, and a special showing of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon laser show, which you can add on to your general admission tickets.
