Open hours: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
On Saturday, the team at LSC is staying up to check out one of the winter night sky's coolest scenes: a bright, full supermoon with the planet Jupiter visible nearby. We are setting up our telescopes, planning special planetarium shows and science demonstrations, and crossing our fingers that the clouds will stay away. All we need now is you!
Come visit any time on Saturday and you can stay for the extended-hour moon madness. No additional ticket is required and we will honor Jan. 3 admission tickets with ANY arrival time slot—from 10:00 am on!
In addition to telescope viewing from our 3rd Floor balcony, we'll open up our backyard (2nd Floor) and the Our Hudson Home observation deck (4th Floor) for naked-eye viewing. This moon will hard to miss Save some "space" for a sweet taste of science in the Moonbeam Ice Cream Show.
Be sure to check out the Extreme Moons and Supermoon planetarium shows, and a special showing of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon laser show, which you can add on when you buy your general admission tickets. You may also add on our premium exhibition, SUE: The T. rex Experience, which will be open until 8:00!
