Below is a brief outline of the activities occurring on each of the three days in the respective PL series:
Please note that these professional learning series are free of charge for teachers.
Please see the individual descriptions below for dates, times, locations, and registration links for each Middle School and High School Professional Learning Series.
Join us for a three-day professional development series focused on the curriculum launch of the OpenSciEd Middle School units. During these sessions, you will participate in learning activities that will prepare you to implement OpenScied in your classroom. Whole group sessions will emphasize the instructional model elements crucial for effective teaching and time to collaborate with colleagues from other grade levels. Unit-specific time will have you engaged with teachers within a grade level, exploring the unit's anchoring phenomenon routine, experiencing some of the unit's key lessons, and gaining a foundational understanding of the overall learning arc of the unit. A light continental breakfast will be provided each day.
