We’re going mad for math, counting, probability, logic, and more. Here’s how all the fun adds up!

This year’s Pi Day celebration boasts some very special guests: Costume Character Elmo and Costume Character Count Von Count from Sesame Street. Costume Character Elmo is just learning about numbers, of course, but Costume Character Count Von Count is a counting expert! He knows that Pi Day happens every March 14–that’s 3/14, just like the number 3.14 that Pi represents. Come say hello and take a FREE keepsake photo on Sat. March 14 or Sun. March 15.

It’s all part of our annual Math Madness at LSC event March 12-15, a mind-bending celebration of numbers and infinite possibilities! You can test your skill in games of probability, use geometry to create dazzling artistic creations, and solve intricate puzzles. In Guided Math Yoga sessions, shapes and patterns combine with movement to explore balance and symmetry. The math fun really gets wild in animal encounters, including the Cockroach Count (March 14) and Snakes on a Scale (March 15). You don’t have to be a math whiz to be amazed, inspired, and perhaps a little irrational as we celebrate Math Madness at Liberty Science Center!
