We’re going mad for math, counting, probability, logic, and more for three full days. Here’s how all the fun adds up!

Rubik’s Cube

The highlight of Math Madness is a weekend-long Rubik’s Speed Cubing Competition. Come see the fastest solvers around tackle cubes of different sizes one-handed, blindfolded, and SO FAST you’ll miss it if you blink! Stop in on Saturday or Sunday and watch the fun. (Sponsored by the World Cube Association).

Our Very Special, Very Speedy Guest

Yiheng Wang, age 11, holds two world records for solving the 3x3 and 2x2 Rubik’s Cubes. This amazing kid from China will compete in his first US competition at LSC during Math Madness on Sunday, March 16. Will he break another record? There’s a good chance!

Pi Day
The madness kicks off on Friday, March 14 – Pi Day. Pi, the mathematical ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, is a number with no known end. But it definitely begins with 3.14. So we think March 14 (3/14) is a great day to start celebrating equations, numbers, circles, and more. Read on to see what’s happening!
