Our annual spring celebration of nature's wild things is back. Here's what's happening!

BUTTERFLY HOUSE

Make your way through a mind-bending, playful springtime maze to a fluttery haven full of monarch and painted lady butterflies! Feed them nectar, watch them land, and enjoy their peaceful butterfly vibes. It’s a great place to make memories—and take photos.

SPECIAL GUEST ANIMALS

From April 12 - 20, our friends from Two-By-Two Animal Haven will hold three shows a day to introduce a bouncy little kangaroo, a flashy umbrella cockatoo, a skinny pig, a snappy alligator, a chunky cane toad, a roly-poly hedgehog, a furry tarantula, and some laid-back tortoises.

Out in our backyard from April 19 - 27 you can meet and pet lively goats and sheep, a sweet donkey, bump-necked zebu cows, and fluffy bunnies and alpacas, all visiting from the Honky Tonk Ranch! We’re also excited to welcome back Liberty, the adorable black sheep who spent her first spring vacation at LSC last year. Our guests even named her!

EASTER BUNNY

The Easter Bunny will be hopping around Liberty Science Center every day this week from 10:30 to 4:30 pm. Stop by and get a free photo!

Note: The Easter Bunny will be taking his carrot (lunch) break from 1:30 - 2:30pm daily.

PSE&G Court, 1st Floor.

CHICK HATCHERY

They arrive at LSC as eggs, but they’ll stay until they’re fluffy little chicks! Stop by the hatchery and see what’s happening. The eggs begin to quake. The chicks begin to peck their way through. Then they shatter their shells, dry their feathers, and greet the world!

Take our “Pathway for the Planet” challenge! Follow a path throughout LSC and learn cool facts at every stop about conserving energy, recycling, and protecting the planet.

PLANETARIUM GIANT FILM PREMIERE

A Vision for Tomorrow is a new, immersive 360° film focusing on four crucial environmental pillars.

  • Trees The irreplaceable value of forests and the urgency to protect them.
  • Air The challenges of air pollution and our dependence on fossil fuels.
  • Water The critical need to conserve and restore freshwater sources.
  • Soil The potential and pitfalls of food production and its impact on sustainability.

In this 13-minute preview, each segment illuminates the delicate balance between humanity and nature, bringing viewers into a world at the intersection of art, science, and technology and inspiring collective action. FREE showings will take place from April 19-27 at 10:15 am.
