JERSEY CITY, N.J., January 30, 2020Wild Kratts: Creature Power!, an interactive exhibit based on the popular PBS Kids series, will open at Liberty Science Center on Saturday, February 1. This adventurous exhibition brings animal habitats from around the globe to Jersey City and invites kids to sneak through the forest using the stealth of a jaguar, swing through the trees like a spider monkey, and test their hops against a kangaroo!

Building on kids’ natural interest in animals, Wild Kratts: Creature Power! transports visitors to the Wild Kratts world, home to a wide range of STEM experiences. Diverse environments immerse children and their families in explorations of animals, habitats, and the relationships between them.

Throughout the exhibit, visitors conduct investigations and make observations, then apply what they learn to complete missions and challenges centered around the lives of animals and their creature powers. The exhibition also features animal experts Chris and Martin Kratt and a cast of heroes and villains familiar to fans. Using Wild Kratts technology and the powers of science and collaboration, guests will help the team solve problems and rescue animals from the villains.

The exhibition features four unique habitats:

Australian Outback Desert – Visitors pretend they’re camping in the desert while exploring a riverbed and hunting for lunch like a platypus. They’ll test their hops against a kangaroo and discover how the creatures who live here are uniquely adapted to this extreme environment.

Tropical Rainforest – Here guests explore the lush forest canopy as they swing through the trees like a spider monkey, then attempt to mimic the stealth of a jaguar to complete a crawling challenge as they explore the ground below.

Antarctica – Kids move like a penguin to get a feel for the experience of animals who call this harsh habitat home. They’ll prove their ability to pick a penguin chick’s unique call out of a crowd, test their balance by navigating between rocking “ice” platforms, and meet the creatures who make this place their home, both on land and in the icy waters of the Antarctic Ocean.

North American Neighborhood – Using one of the Wild Kratts’ most iconic technological devices, the Miniaturizer, visitors shrink down to see what life is like for the animals under our feet. In this over-sized backyard environment, kids come eye-to-eye with critters from beetles to birds while getting a chance to see flowers like the butterflies do, catch lunch like a bullfrog, and even create a creature chorus.

A dedicated Tot Spot equipped with a book shelf of Wild Kratts and animal-themed stories and age-appropriate busy wall activities is available just for children under 3 and their caregivers.

Wild Kratts: Creature Power! will run through May 31, 2020, and is included with General Admission. To learn more, please visit

The exhibition was created by Minnesota Children’s Museum in collaboration with the Kratt Brothers Company.
