As a nonprofit institution, Liberty Science Center relies on people like you to help us inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers, and excite learners of all ages about the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation in recognition of Giving Tuesday, a global day of philanthropy observed on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year observed on November 30, 2021.
Your contribution will support programs that get kids excited about STEM and into the pipeline toward science, medicine, and tech careers. In these extraordinary times, we are grateful for everything you can do to support the Science Center.

LSC’s committed team of STEM Educators use their expertise and enthusiasm for science to create and deliver rich, rigorous, and relevant learning experiences that promote scientific reasoning and problem-solving. Our STEM curriculum and activities reach more than 280,000 students and teachers annually.
The Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium – the biggest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere – and LSC’s access to real-time data and images enables our experts to share the wonder of astronomical objects and celestial phenomena in a down-to-earth way. Today, our team is using these tools to explore the universe both in person and through virtual online programming.
As a nonprofit, LSC is all about community. Our staff, engaged board, and tireless volunteers share their passion for STEM learning with students and educators, members, and families, and are committed to engaging and inspiring children and families in our most at-risk communities.
Our signature program, Live From Surgery, enables students to interact with a medical team during a surgical procedure, exposing them to a variety of careers in medicine and biotechnology. Now in its 35th year, Partners in Science is an intensive, eight-week summer experience that pairs high school juniors and seniors students with mentors in science, health, and technical fields to participate in ongoing research and independent projects.
LSC salutes our teachers who guide K-12 students through their science learning. We support their critical work by providing them with professional development programs tailored to their needs, relevant experiences that align with their curriculum, and opportunities to team-teach alongside LSC’s STEM Educators.
