All the Halloween activities at Liberty Science Center this year

LSC News

There's no better way to celebrate the Halloween season than at Liberty Science Center! From spider mazes to wizard workshops to hipster zombies, take a look at all the activities we have planned this year.

Not-So-Scary Stuff

The Spider Maze

Make your way through this maze to learn more about six individual spiders and their unique traits. Don't worry: There are no live spiders in this maze, and nothing will be jumping out at you!

When? Every day from Oct. 21-29, 10 am to close

Better To Smell You With, My Dear

Bones tell us many things about an animal's life. In LSC's Our Hudson Home lab, take measurements of real animal skulls to determine which species had the strongest sense of smell.

When? Every day from Oct. 21-29, 10 am to close

Pumpkin Check-Up

Head over to our Infection Connection exhibition, grab a lab coat and use small endoscopes to see the inside of a pumpkin.

When? Every day from Oct. 21-29, 10 am to close

Spatter Science

Channel your inner "CSI" and investigate a blood spatter pattern over in Infection Connection.

When? Every day from Oct. 21-29, 10 am to close

Spooky Story Time

Kids 5 and under can join us in our I Explore exhibition for a "spooky" story around the campfire!

When? Every day from Oct. 21-29, 12 pm and 2 pm

Wizard Workshop

Calling all apprentice witches and wizards! Join one of our magical masters and try out chemistry experiments that seem almost magical in nature.

When? Oct. 21, 22, 28, and 29, 11 am to 3 pm

Kinda Scary Stuff (...but really not THAT scary!)

The Zombie Foodie

Meet the Zombie Foodie! She used to be your average hipster food blogger who wrote about kale, but then she got bit by a zombie and now she writes about animal organs.

In her humorous presentation, you'll learn all about animal organs, and even see real animal hearts, stomachs, livers, intestines, and lungs.

The Zombie Foodie is recommended for ages 8 and up.

When? Oct. 28 and 29, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm

VERY Scary Stuff! Beware!

Doom Zoo

In this terrifying walkthrough, you'll meet the abominable half-human, half-animal creations of a mad scientist. Be careful – he's always looking for new test subjects...

The Doom Zoo is bigger and scarier than ever this year. This experience is NOT recommended for kids under 13.

When? Oct. 21, 22, 28, 29, 12 pm-2 pm, 3 pm-5 pm
