Gala corporate chair Chirag Patel is driven by innovation
Liberty Science Center’s 8th Annual Genius Gala is coming up fast. On May 13, 2019, we will honor four visionary men and women who have brought innovation to multiple fields, including biotechnology, social media, and dyslexia research.
One of the people responsible for making the event happen is Chirag Patel, chairman of Avtar Investments.
A corporate chair of the Gala and LSC managing trustee, Patel believes strongly in our mission to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers and excite learners of all ages about the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology.
Before joining Avtar Investments, Patel was a co-founder and co-chairman of Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Patel's lifelong drive and constant desire to discover what's next carried Amneal from humble beginnings to an emerging global presence.
Patel is the recipient of several industry honors including the 2011 Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Life Sciences Award and supports various philanthropic and charitable causes both in the US and abroad. Patel and his wife, Priti Patel, established the Niswarth Children Foundation in 2013, with the goal of bringing fresh water, sanitation, sustenance, and education to one million underprivileged children.
