Are you passionate about making smart choices for your brain and body? Enter the Power Up Your Body Challenge!
Liberty Science Center, in collaboration with Cabot Cheese, is hosting the Power Up Your Body Challenge to engage students in grades 6-8 to design a campaign to educate their peers about the importance of building strong bones, brains, and habits.
To enter the challenge, you’ll need to outline a concept, design a campaign, and enter by March 8, 2019. Your message could be showcased in many different ways: an art project, dramatic or musical performance, commercial, science experiment, website, online game, or anything imaginable!
Over 100 entries will be chosen to showcase their project at LSC and will be judged on persuasiveness, originality, and educational value.
Winners will receive cash prizes for their school or group, with total prizes over $10,000!
Selected projects will be notified by April 8, 2019 and will have one month to create their displays for the showcase at LSC on May 5, 2019.
Students must be in grades 6-8 in the 2018-19 school year and must be residents of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester county or Rockland county in New York or in Hudson, Bergen, Essex, or Passaic counties in New Jersey at the time of entry.
