We're Hiring for Part-Time Roles!

YOU will be the person that helps to inspire thousands to play and learn. You will connect with and delight our guests. You will help our guests with any questions they have about our exhibits and also develop creative solutions to any issues that may arise for them.

  • Guest Engagement Associate
  • Guest Services Representative

Both of the above positions are part-time, offer a flexible schedule, and pay above minimum wage.

The Roles

Please read the descriptions below and note the differences between the two roles. Both positions require customer service experience, while an advanced-level Guest Engagement Associate role requires knowledge of basic science concepts and the ability to engage in a dynamic way with small groups. The Guest Services Representative role requires cash-handling experience.

Role 1: Guest Engagement Associates (GEA)

You will join a team that is essential to fostering an environment that is safe, enjoyable, and conducive to interactive science and technology learning. As a Guest Engagement Associate you will be expected to engage on a daily basis with guests who are visiting Liberty Science Center. The Guest Engagement Associate’s primary focus is to welcome, facilitate, and enhance the guest experience at LSC. Associates are located in each of our exhibits and throughout Liberty Science Center.

As an ideal candidate, you:

  • Have six (6) months+ experience of delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy playing with guests of all ages (heavy emphasize on children 3-13)
  • Work well within a team based setting while treating guests, peers, etc. with respect
  • Hold yourself and peers accountable to high guest service standards
  • Are punctual
  • Enjoy speaking in public and getting to know our visitors
  • Must be available AT LEAST three (3) full weekdays OR one weekday plus one (1) weekend day

Role 2: Guest Services Representative

The Guest Services Representative provides high quality, ticketing service to all on-site guests. Guest Services Representatives are knowledgeable of every show and event that is happening at the Science Center. You are not afraid to go out of the way to engage with guests and ensure they are equipped to have the best possible LSC experience. You have a positive, outgoing outlook, and upselling comes second nature to you.

As an ideal candidate, you:

  • Have the ability to clearly inform guests of the Liberty Science Center portfolio, including all available featured experiences
  • 1 + year(s) of customer service and cash register experience
  • Maintain an accurate cash register at all times and successfully reconcile all on-site payments.
  • Accurately input data into LSC’s customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Achieve both individual and team-based sales goals while operating within the Box Office’s policies and procedures
  • Serve as an ambassador of our institution and mission at all times
