On Sept. 15, 2022, Liberty Science Center traveled back to the era of Rugrats, Spice Girls, flannel, and slap bracelets for LSC After Dark: 90s Night – Back to School!

Our latest event for guests 21 and over was all that and a bag of chips. Check out some of the highlights from the night:

Slime Time!

Have you ever dreamed of being slimed? For a few lucky guests, that became a reality, as we dumped their heads in oobleck slime in front of a crowd on the dance floor!

Scooter Relay Races

Just like back in gym class, we brought out scooter boards so guests could race each other!

The Giant Parachute

Speaking of gym class…remember those giant parachutes?! A.k.a. The BEST day of gym class?! We had one!

Master Lock Races

Remember how stressful it used to be opening your locker before you had to make it to next period? At the Master Lock Race, friends challenged each other to see who could open their lock fastest!

90s Mix Laser Show and Michael Jackson Laser Show

Over in the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in America, guests rocked out to two amazing new shows: the 90s Mix Laser Show, featuring hits from your old mixtapes, and the Michael Jackson Laser Show, featuring classics from the King of Pop set to high-tech lasers.

Food, Drinks and Lawn Games in Bones’ Backyard Bar

Outside in Bones’ Backyard Bar, guests enjoyed delicious bites and smoking cocktails, plus beer, wine, and lawn games, against the stunning NYC skyline. It was a gorgeous night!

Getting Jiggy on the Dance Floor

Booyah! Over on the dance floor, DJ CREAM played ‘90s hits throughout the night.
