LSC begins coding classes in partnership with New York Code + Design Academy

LSC News

Liberty Science Center just kicked off its first coding class in partnership with the New York Code + Design Academy (NYCDA).

On the evening of Wednesday, September 7, a group of adult students filled a classroom at the Science Center and began their training in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as applications such as Sublime Text.

At the beginning of the class, each student introduced themselves and explained their unique reasons for wanting to learn coding, such as wanting to build a website and looking to expand their career opportunities.

This intro class, Web Development 100, lasts for a semester and will meet every Monday and Wednesday night through January.

LSC is thrilled to partner up with NYCDA and teach one of the most useful skills to have in the current job market. Follow us here on the LSC blog for more updates from NYCDA classes at the Science Center, and stay tuned for enrollment information on future courses.
