Meet the staff at this summer’s LSC Science Camp!

Kengo Yamada recently completed his master’s degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Development from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He can’t wait to help create an environment for kids to make friends, feel supported, and feel safe exploring different kinds of science!

“I’m excited for so many experiments this summer,” Kengo says. “One of our new camps is our ‘Make a Splash’ course. In that camp, we'll be making ocean acidification art which will be a lot of fun, while also talking about some really important issues in regard to our oceans.”

In addition to “Make a Splash,” Kengo will be teaching the courses “Creative Coding,” “Rockin’ Robots,” and “Who Digs Dinos?”

“What makes our camp truly wonderful is it being housed in our 300,000-square-foot learning center,” says Kengo. “It’s a great place and an incredible resource to leverage for making our young campers’ learning more magical.”
