Success! Today NASA’s Perseverance rover touched down on Mars at 3:55 PM ET.
This picture shows the first view from the landing site in Jezero Crater, a former Martian lake (about the size of Lake Tahoe). It’s a promising location to search for evidence of ancient life on Mars.
Stay tuned for additional pictures which are expected to come through this weekend!
