There's a giant humpback whale on the second floor!
Have you gotten a chance yet this summer to see our 35 foot long, 26 foot wide humpback whale?
The whale, which weighs over 100 pounds, has been residing in Governors Hall on the second floor to celebrate our OceanXperience exhibition!
You can learn more about these fascinating, massive creatures in OceanXperience, as well as during our daily program “Creatures of the Deep.”
For instance, did you know humpback whales can live for 80 to 90 years, and eat up to 3,000 pounds of food a day, including krill and small fish? How about that male humpback whales sing songs that can be heard up to 20 miles away?
