LSC News

This weekend only – June 2 and 3 – we're celebrating the creativity inspired by the legendary Star Wars series with a special laser show in our Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium and LSC Giant Dome Theater, the largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere!

Here’s a look at some of the fun Star Wars surprises around the building this Saturday and Sunday:

Solo: A Star Wars Story Laser Show

We’re psyched about Solo: A Star Wars Story, the newest entry in the Star Wars series, and so this weekend we’re exclusively playing Solo: A Star Wars Story Laser Show in the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium and LSC Giant Dome Theater!

Be there and experience John Powell and John Williams’ epic score set to high-tech lasers. The show is playing Saturday and Sunday at 11:50 am, 2:20 pm, 4:00 pm, and 5:40 pm. It's available with the purchase of a Combination Pass and Premium Pass. Passes can be purchased online or in person at the Box Office.

Meet-and-Greet with R2-D2

Ever since the original Star Wars film was released in 1977, engineers have been influenced by the series’ innovative droids, including R2-D2, C-3PO, and more recently, BB-8!

This weekend, get up-close and grab a selfie with R2-D2. He’s fully-functional and the exact same size and dimensions as his on-screen counterpart.

Catch him from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on both days.

Star Wars fan groups

Millions of viewers have been inspired by Star Wars for decades, and that certainly includes the local fan groups and cosplayers we’ve invited this weekend to join us for the fun.

Meet and take photos with members of 501st Legion, Saber Guild Corellia, Rogue Alliance, NY Saber Society, Rebel Legion, and Mandalorian Mercs.
