Happy hatch day, Tortellini!

Over the weekend, Tortellini the red-footed tortoise celebrated his eighth hatch day with a tasty, fruity cake. He was touched by all the visitors who stopped by to sing “happy hatch day” to him in Eat and Be Eaten.

While red-footed tortoises are not endangered, many tortoise species are due to habitat loss, illegal poaching, and illegal collection. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating Tortellini’s hatch day and learning what you can do to protect endangered tortoises!
