Check out our honey bees—and the surprisingly high-tech world of bee science

The third floor hallway is buzzing with excitement! Peer inside our honey bee hive to see real bees at work, busily building honeycomb and making honey. Then walk through our new multimedia exhibition about cutting-edge bee science.

You'll also get to see real radar gear that biologists stick onto bees, watch video clips of bug-inspired drones and robots, and pose near a wild bee photo that’s 90 times larger than life.

Want more bees? We have a live program about them every day. Experience Beekeeping: The Sweetest Science during your next visit!
