Celebrate everything bizarre and unreal as we break out surreal experiments, showcase performers who defy the laws of nature, and rock out on the dance floor!

1) Try out the Bed of Nails…if you dare!
We’ll be joined by the Coney Island Circus Sideshow, who have lots of tricks up their sleeves for this event!
First up – if you’re brave enough – try out their Bed of Nails and hope for the best (just kidding!...maybe!).
2) Learn the secrets of the sideshow!
At 8:00 pm, attend the Freak Show 101 presentation led by Coney Island Circus Sideshow. You’ll learn all the skills behind their freak show talents and tricks, featuring the Blockhead, Strongman, and Sword Swallower!
3) Party with the performers!
In addition to the presentation at 8:00 pm, the Coney Island Circus Sideshow performers will be demonstrating their skills throughout the party all night. See them in action, and party with them on the dance floor!
4) Enjoy some delicious crickets!
Yum! Be there for the return of the Bug Buffet, and see who among your friends is brave enough to munch on some crickets (it’s not that bad, really!).
5) Explore the Food Hall!
Are crickets not your thing? That’s fine! Our Food Hall will be open, serving lots of delicious bites throughout the evening, plus beer, wine, smoking cocktails, White Claw, and more!
6) Rock out at the Metallica Laser Show!
Enter…the Metallica Laser Show! For an $8 donation, you can experience our new laser show in LSC’s Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in America.
7) Discover the biggest astronomy stories of the moment!
Over at the What’s Next in Space planetarium show, you’ll join our live planetarium presenter for a close-up look at the biggest space stories right now. This includes the James Webb Telescope, the Perseverance Mars rover, NASA’s Artemis “Back to the Moon” mission, and beyond!
Like the Metallica Laser Show, you can experience the What’s Next in Space planetarium show when you make an $8 donation.
8) Play games on the lawn!
Find some time to enjoy the summer weather on our Dino Dig Adventure patio, and challenge your friends against games like Connect 4 and corn hole!
9) Get what you get tattoos!
This month, we’re joined by Jersey City tattoo shops 7 Souls Tattoo and Heart in Mind Tattoo.
Heart in Mind Tattoo will be giving out temporary tattoos, while 7 Souls Tattoo is offering “get what you get” tattoos – meaning, a gumball machine will reveal what random tattoo you’ll be receiving when you visit their shop at a discounted rate!
10) Make some creepy, crawly new friends!
Stop by the Creepy Crawly Corner, where you’ll meet some of Liberty Science Center’s invertebrates including cockroaches, tarantulas, and millipedes.
11) Celebrate Pride Month!
Happy Pride Month! We’ll be joined by Art InQlusive, with amazing gifts and designs celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.
