12 reasons you can’t miss LSC After Dark: Whiskey & Winter Are Coming
Get ready: Whiskey and winter are coming! On Nov. 16, we’re throwing an LSC After Dark event for guests 21 and over inspired by Game of Thrones.
There will be whiskey (lots of it). There will be incredible incredible photo opportunities (a chance to sit on the Iron Throne, anyone?). And just like at every LSC After Dark, there will be amazing interactive activities, this time based on the hit series.
Both fans and non-fans will have a blast. If you don’t have your ticket yet, here are 12 reasons you can’t miss LSC After Dark: Whiskey & Winter Are Coming.
1) Sit on the Iron Throne
You may not have any Lannister or Baratheon blood in your body, but that’s fine! At this event, all guests will be able take a photo on the Iron Throne, which was built with 3D printers, vacuformers, and other tools in our MakerLab.
2) Whiskey tastings
When we say whiskey is coming, we’re not kidding. Join us for several free whiskey tastings, courtesy of local craft distilleries.
3) Specialty Whiskey Bar
Yes, more whiskey! In addition to the free tastings, we’ll have a Whiskey Bar where you can enjoy special whiskey cocktails.
Just like every month, you will also be able to purchase beer, wine, and other beverages.
4) Join the Hall of Faces
A girl has no name, and neither do you! We are building our own Hall of Faces and giving guests the chance to take a photo as one of the hundreds of faces who succumbed to the House of Black and White.
5) Delicious $5 food vendors
Midnight Market NJ returns again this month with their amazing line-up of local food vendors. Enjoy tapas-style food plates for only $5. Some of the vendors this month include Cryo Cream (serving nitrogen ice cream), Taste of Poland, Eemas Cuisine, Toja Kitchen, and Sisig City.

6) A Show of Ice and Fire
Our live show in the Joseph D. Williams 3D Science Theater features some of the hottest and coolest experiments you’ll see all year. Watch as our STEM Educators show off exhilarating demonstrations involving fire and ice.
7) Meet a real dragon
It doesn’t fly, but that’s okay! At this event, you can meet LSC’s very own bearded dragon, who – unlike Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion – isn’t a threat to the kingdom.
8) Meet the newborn mole rat pups
Speaking of animals, our naked mole rats just gave birth to a new round of pups – the second litter this year! Meet these tiny, fascinating creatures up-close before they grow into juveniles.
9) Participate in the Wildling Archery Challenge
Grab a bow and arrow and see if you have the strength to get all the Wildlings in our interactive challenge.
10) Experience the new Star Trek exhibition
For an extra $10, you can be one of the first to experience our newest premium exhibition, “Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience.”
In this hands-on, immersive exhibition based on one of the world’s most popular sci-fi series, you’ll step into the shoes of a newly minted cadet in the 26th century. As you travel through nine different zones, you’ll receive the necessary science, engineering, medical and command training to navigate your way from orientation through graduation.
Both Trekkies and non-Trekkies will be engaged by the science behind the science fiction as you learn how Star Trek paved the way for many of today’s cutting-edge technologies.
As usual, all our permanent exhibitions – such as Touch Tunnel, Infinity Climber, and Our Hudson Home – will be open and included in your general admission ticket.
