Science is sexy! Our next LSC After Dark event for guests 21 and over is “Sex, Science & Rock n’ Roll” on Feb. 21, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Click here for tickets.
At this event, you’ll enjoy perform erotic experiments, enjoy drink tastings, experience new planetarium and laser shows, and discover the science behind music.

1) Punk Rock Flea Market
Our friends at JC Oddities Market return this month with local vendors selling records, clothes, and punk rock gifts. Bring something rad home to your loved ones!
2) Meet the Sexologist
As part of the Punk Rock Flea Market, we will be joined by certified sexologist Beverly Perryman and representatives from NJ Sexual Wellness. Stop by and get answers to your questions on sex and relationships.
3) Hair-Band Makeover Studio
The talented professionals from the School of Makeup Effects will be here giving out punk rock makeovers! Choose from several different styles: David Bowie, KISS, glam, and smoky eye.
4) Live Music
This month, we will be joined by local bands rocking out all night, courtesy of Rock-it Docket! Enjoy performances by The Cliff Hangers, The Fuzz, and Big Bang.
5) Vintage Guitars
The New York City-based McCurdy Guitars and Rivington Guitars will be here showing off their vintage guitars. Check them out and learn how they’re made.
6) Lab Partner Speed Dating
Fed up with Tinder, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, etc.? We feel you. And we have a solution for you! Stop by our Lab Partner Speed Dating, where you’ll be paired up with different people and tasked with conducting six quick experiments. Make a new friend, learn something new, and find your perfect lab partner!
7) Midnight Market food vendors
Midnight Market returns this month with delicious food from local vendors, at only $5 per plate (cash only, please).
8) Lovers of the Cosmos Planetarium Show
Experience our Valentine’s Day-themed planetarium show, Lovers of the Cosmos! Explore constellations such as Perseus & Andromeda and Orpheus & Eurydice on our massive planetarium screen.

9) Laser Vinyl Laser Show
Rock out at our brand new Laser Vinyl Laser Show! Experience classic songs by AC/DC, Van Halen, Queen, and more set to high-tech lasers.

10) Put the Condom to the Test!
Join one of our educators with decades of experience as a sex health educator and put the condom to the test in a series of special activities!
11) Pico Tech Innovation Station
Our friends from Pico Technology will be here this month showing off virtual reality goggles and 3D printers at the Innovation Station. Don’t miss their state-of-the-art technology!
12) Whiskey Cocktail Bar and Drink Tastings
Stop by our Misunderstood Whiskey Cocktail Bar and enjoy delicious rock n' roll-inspired drinks: the "Hotel California," "Purple Haze," and "Under Pear-ssure."
We'll also have complimentary drink tastings throughout the night from Misunderstood Whiskey and Dreaming Tree Wines!
13) Endangered Species Condoms
Due to popular demand, we will once again be handing out endangered species condoms courtesy of the Center for Biological Diversity. Learn how human population growth and overconsumption contribute to environmental issues like species extinction, habitat loss, and climate change.

15) Dream Machine
This month, be sure to check out one our loudest, most powerful exhibitions at the Science Center: the Dream Machine!
The Dream Machine debuted at New York’s Panorama Festival in 2017, but now it has a permanent home at LSC. In this interactive, sensory adventure, you use bicycle pumps to produce combinations of colors, sounds, and scents – some pleasant, some unpleasant.
Explore each of the different stations to experience a complex range of human emotions, including happiness, disgust, shame, and hope.
16) Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Lab
What’s more rock n’ roll than actual rocks? Stop by our Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Lab and learn the basics of geology and how to identify different rocks.
