Congratulations to Lindsey Nielsen and Aaron Waldorf! The couple just got engaged in our Star Trek exhibition, and we caught it on camera:

Lindsey and Aaron, both 34 years old and huge Trekkies, traveled all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico to experience the exhibition at LSC. But while Aaron thought it was just a spontaneous trip and cool opportunity to dress up, Lindsey had ulterior motives!

The second that Aaron sat in the captain’s chair of the bridge, Lindsey got on one knee and popped the question in the Trekkiest way possible: “Make it so?”, referring to Jean-Luc Picard’s famous line in Star Trek: The Next Generation. “Yes,” he replied.

Chatting with Lindsey and Aaron afterward, Aaron said that, months earlier, he told Lindsey he wanted her to propose – but to do it in a way that was surprising and dramatic.

“He said there has to be drama,” says Lindsey. “He wouldn’t say yes if it was just on the couch.”

“This is way more than I expected,” says Aaron. “Definitely drama.”

Congratulations again, Lindsey and Aaron! May your love continue to live long and prosper!
