“What is the difference between buying something you want and something you really need?”

That’s the question students and parents were asked during a financial literacy themed Community Evening on Wednesday, February 19.

This exclusive event was held to benefit students from 31 at-risk NJ school districts. Together with their parents and teachers, they explored real-life financial scenarios and learned how to responsibly handle their money.

Liberty Science Center Community Evenings are hosted in partnership with Fidelity Investments and grant guests access to the Science Center’s themed exhibit galleries, IMAX® films, and 3D shows. Special family programming, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities are all provided at no cost.
