Guests experience the total lunar eclipse at LSC's Lunar Mania event

LSC News

On the night of May 15, 2022, guests looked to the skies at Liberty Science Center’s Lunar Mania event!

That evening, LSC was open from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am as we celebrated the total lunar eclipse.

It was a night of moon adventures, with telescopes on the lawn, a planetarium show “All About the Eclipse” to help guests learn why eclipses happen, a “Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon Laser Show,” themed snacks and cocktails, fun activities and experiments in Governors Hall, and more. All the exhibitions in the building stayed open until 10:00 pm, too!

Thanks to everyone who came out! Check out some of our favorite photos below, and be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates on special events like this one at LSC.
