Handprint Wall receives infrared light update

LSC News

The Handprint Wall is a fan favorite at LSC. It welcomes you to our Communications exhibition and introduces you to cave painting, one of the earliest forms of communication.

Lately, the Handprint Wall is a little worse for wear. The exhibit uses infrared lights to identify your handprint and those lights have been slowly dying out like ancient stars in an ever-expanding universe.

Enter the IR426 infrared illuminators from CCTV Camera World. This infrared illuminator packs 114 infrared LEDs onto a 7in x 5in x 7in body providing 400 feet of uninterrupted night vision.

Using the IR426 will allow us to reduce the number of lights we’re using, save space, save energy, and provide a better Handprint Wall experience.

The Handprint Wall update is just one of a number of updates you’ll see throughout LSC’s exhibition halls. We’ll be sure to share more details in the coming months.
