Happy fall from Liberty Science Center!

LSC News

It’s officially fall! Here in the Northern Hemisphere, today marks the day of the Autumnal Equinox.

No matter where you are on Earth, daylight and nighttime are each 12 hours long and the Sun will rise directly East and set directly West. If you’re standing on the equator, the sun will be directly overhead at noon. This only happens twice a year; once in the spring, and once in the fall, as Earth revolves around the Sun.

LSC’s new autumn adventure, Fall Fest, debuts on Saturday, Sept. 28! Everything you love about autumn – the mazes, the pumpkins, the apple cider – is right here in Jersey City. Click here to get the details.
