Investors Foundation – Dedicated Partner of Liberty Science Center

LSC News

Liberty Science Center (LSC) relies on its corporate and foundation partners to sustain its exciting and engaging menu of informal STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education for learners of all ages.

The Investors Foundation, which provides grant funding to not-for-profit organizations that enhance the communities served by Investors Bank, has been a dedicated sponsor of LSC for nearly a decade, contributing to a multitude of the Center’s educational and infrastructural initiatives.

LSC is grateful for Investors Foundation’s most recent grant award of $100,000 towards LSC’s Genius Gala 4.0, which welcomed 700 leaders in science and technology including Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, Google’s Chief Internet Evangelist, Vinton Cerf and Chair of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute, Jill Tarter, to celebrate the Center, creativity and STEM education.

In 2013, Investors Foundation presented the Center a grant of $50,000 to be used over a five-year period as LSC upgrades its award-winning Live From Surgery program to a high-definition format. Each year, Live From Surgery enables over 5,000 students to communicate with surgical teams in the operating room via real-time videoconferencing technology. The program’s long-term goal is to nurture students’ interest in medical and healthcare careers as well as encourage healthy lifestyle choices. This year, Investors Foundation has also supported LSC’s Plug the Leaks campaign at $10,000 to assist in repairing a portion of LSC’s roof.

LSC is proud to have Investors Bank CEO and President, Kevin Cummings on its steadfast Board of Trustees. “Every year, well over half a million students, educators and parents benefit from the outstanding interactive experiences provided by the hardworking staff at the Liberty Science Center,” said Cummings.

LSC President and CEO, Paul Hoffman values our ongoing collaboration with the Foundation. “We are tremendously grateful to have the support of the Investors Foundation,” he said.

Established in 2005, the Investors Foundation enriches the lives of New Jersey and New York citizens by supporting initiatives in the arts, education, youth development, affordable housing, and health and human services. To date, the Foundation has pledged more than $7 million in support of the communities the bank serves. LSC looks forward to a longstanding partnership with Investors Foundation and Investors Bank in support of our mission and informal STEM education!
