Kids practice their reading skills by reading to dogs at LSC
Many studies show that kids who practice reading to dogs become more motivated to read!
Today on Wednesday, Oct. 23, young visitors at LSC were invited to grab a book and read aloud to four furry friends. These pups – certified therapy dogs from Creature Comfort Pet Therapy in Morris Plains – sat by patiently as kids read aloud to them and practiced their reading skills.
It was the “paw-fect” way to spend the day!
This activity was held as part of LSC’s Young Learner Day celebration. Thanks to all who stopped by, and thanks to our friends from Creature Comfort Pet Therapy for joining us for the fun!
