Liberty Science Center says good riddance to 2020 with biggest Boom Time explosion ever

LSC News

Today, Liberty Science Center said “good riddance!” to 2020 in the biggest, most explosive way possible.

All day, we asked guests to write on slips of paper what they wanted to leave behind in the challenging year of 2020. Then, during our afternoon “Boom Time” show – the biggest one we’ve ever done – we used liquid nitrogen to explode everyone’s submissions.

Check it out:

There were lots of great answers submitted throughout the day. Of course, “COVID-19” and “wearing masks” were the most popular answers. Others submitted “closed gyms” and “closed schools,” while others answered “racism” and “cancer” and “student debt.”

Our “Boom Time” room is a one-of-a-kind, 57-square-foot movable safe room made of polycarbonate walls (the same material used for bullet-proofing).

In these shows, which happen daily, you can experience the excitement of liquid nitrogen explosions as we blow up things like watermelons, bouncy balls, and pumpkins.

“Boom Time” will continue into 2021, and we can’t wait to see you there! It is included in your general admission ticket. Click here to get tickets now.
