LSC After Dark goes green for St. Paddy’s Party
On March 17, 2022, Liberty Science Center threw the ultimate party for St. Paddy’s Day!
At LSC After Dark: St. Paddy’s Party, guests 21+ showed up dressed in green and ready for a night of activities celebrating the holiday.
From bourbon tastings to delicious snacks to new planetarium shows, it was an unforgettable night. Here are some of our favorite highlights from the event:
Lucky Charms Minute to Win It
Friends challenged each other in a Minute to Win It-style competition, where the challenge was to move Lucky Charms from one bowl to another…using only chopsticks.
Pot of Gold Pong
Instead of red solo cups, we played "Beer Pong" with coins and pots of gold! We can’t think of a better way to play.
Temporary Tattoos
All night, we gave out free temporary tattoos so guests could show off that they got lucky at LSC After Dark!
Midnight Market Food Hall
Midnight Market returned this month with delicious snacks from local vendors.
This month’s vendors were Dilena’s Dolcini, MozzArepas, Empanada Papa, Tradewinds II, DownEast Lobstah, El Lechon De Negron, Hold My Knots, Moo La La, and Cosmic Café.
Bourbon Tastings
Guests enjoyed complimentary tastings, courtesy of Penelope Bourbon.
U2 Laser Show and Beer in Space Planetarium Show
Over in the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in America, guests experienced two amazing shows. The U2 Laser Show featured hit songs from the Irish band set to high-tech lasers, while the Beer in Space planetarium show took viewers through the universe in search for the ingredients to beer.
New "Lucky Stars" Experiment
At the new “Lucky Stars” experiment, we burned metals to help guests understand what stars are made of.
By observing the unique color of the flame, you can make a prediction about what a star is burning based on its combination of color bands.

Dance Floor with DJ Sasin
When they weren’t busy exploring the building, guests had a great time on the dance floor with DJ Sasin!
