On Sept. 17, 2022, Liberty Science Center participated in the Newark Family Festival, hosted by NJ First Lady Tammy Murphy!

The Newark Family Festival was held to raise awareness about the maternal and infant health crisis. Festival attendees received access to multiple resources for expectant and new moms, including healthcare, housing support, food assistance, child care, energy assistance, and more.

Liberty Science Center attended the event with lots of fun activities. Families dug for fossils, created and took home slime, and played with mini robots.

LSC educators also conducted a liquid nitrogen presentation, and even created a giant “Wow” cloud in the middle of Mulberry Street.
