LSC holds first Teacher Preview Day of 2018

LSC News

On Saturday, Jan. 24, LSC held its first Teacher Preview Day of 2018!

Preview Days are held several times throughout the year. Teachers and PTO leaders are invited to learn how our programs and robust hands-on experiences improve student learning and support teachers.

For the first Teacher Preview Day of 2018, we were joined by two special guests: science teachers Skye Donzelli and Jenn Stenard of Memorial School in Howell, NJ. Donzelli and Stinard gave the participants an overview on STEM innovation in the classroom, and shared the best practices and steps they took that resulted in being awarded the funds to build a multi-age group, multi-skill level STEM classroom at their school.

During LSC's Teacher Preview Days, teachers can look forward to learning more about programs such as 3D printing, coding, app development, professional development, drones, distance learning, planetarium education, animal programs, biological techniques, robotics, the math/science connection, and more.

Teachers also enjoy a continental breakfast, previews of STEM programming, a complimentary film, professional development hours, and free raffles.
