This has been a hard week for the Liberty Science Center team as we mourn the passing of Allison Sillence, our former Associate Director of Volunteer Development.

A beloved colleague for ten years, Allison’s work mentoring the volunteers and interns helped further our mission and strengthen our community. She continued to focus on serving others after leaving LSC when she joined an organization dedicated to providing individuals with access to food, education and other resources.

Allison was especially well known at the Science Center for her love and compassion for animals. In 2018, she even walked the red carpet with her dog Lawrence at LSC’s Genius Gala.
