Meet the Staff at LSC Science Camp: Dayna Mancuso
Today begins another amazing week of LSC Science Camp, so let’s meet one of our camp staff members: Dayna Mancuso!
This summer, Dayna is teaching the courses “From Fiction to Fact” and “Invent a High-Tech Toy.” She is an NJ State Certified Teacher with ten years of classroom teaching experience, and seven years of informal education at LSC.
“I’m excited to create fun and interactive classes that inspire curiosity and encourage campers to think critically and develop their own scientific knowledge and skills,” says Dayna.
Her favorite experiment of the summer? The Tornado Chamber! The Tornado Chamber is about four feet tall, and uses liquid nitrogen to make a cloud that campers swirl with suction.
