On June 26, LSC kicked off summer with its first official Member Night of the season. Guests were able to enjoy the newly installed Tapescape exhibits (Tape Gemini and Tape Space) as well as participate in BASF Kid’s Lab sessions.
Here are some highlights of the night:
Guests of all ages enjoyed making rockets out of straws and launching them all the way across the Chalsty Forum.
Young guests pretended to be busy bees collecting pollen and racing against other bees.
In I Explore, young learners were taught about the importance of light shielding so we can see the stars.
In this fun ball toss, kids were able to learn about the solar system.
Guests had messy fun while making craters by dropping rocks into coco powder.
Our animal interpretation staff helped guests pretend to be beekeepers during “Beekeeping: The Sweetest Science” presentation.
Guests did space exploration of their own by going out on our observation deck and using our telescope to see the moon.
This is the moon as seen from our telescope on the observation deck.
